LEED® AP’s Unite: Update on LEED 2009 Green Building Rating System and How To Become a LEED Accredited Professional

Abstract:

Learn about the LEED Green Building Rating System and how an environmental consultant can fit into the LEED process. Learn about where to find green building educational resources and how to earn a LEED Accredited Professional designation. Learn about the US Green Building Council and its role in transforming the green building marketplace in San Diego.

Speaker Information:

Keith Schneringer is a LEED® Accredited Professional currently serving on the Board of Directors for the San Diego chapter of the US Green Building Council. He is the President of the chapter and is also the Regional Point of Contact to the National Chapter of USGBC on the subject of LEED for Existing Buildings. He has represented his company (WAXIE Sanitary Supply) as a stakeholder in the standard development process for Green Seal, and has done an extensive amount of research and study on the contributions green cleaning can make to green buildings. He has represented the US Green Building Council in front of many local trade organizations, and is very appreciative to have the opportunity to speak about the LEED Green Building Rating System and USGBC-San Diego.
