Abstract:

Come hear  the latest top issues in industrial Stormwater compliance from a cross section of involved parties.  Hear a representative of industry explain the challenges and opportunities involved from the perspective of the regulated businesses.  Hear a consultant describe several case studies, including examples comparing businesses that are proactive in compliance versus those that take a more cautious approach.  Hear the Regional Board Staff perspective on challenges to compliance and enforcement, as well as the latest timeline on TMDL  adoption.  Finally, join in the discussion during our interactive Q & A session.

Cost:

$30 for members, $35 for non-members, add $5 if reservation is not received by 5pm the Friday before. Online registration will end at noon on the Monday before the event. Walk-ins with no reservation will be charged an extra $10 and be asked to wait until those with reservations are seated.

Please note that confirmed reservations will be invoiced regardless of attendance.


Speaker Information:

Nancy Gardiner is Haley & Aldrich’s national stormwater practice leader.  She holds a MS in Geology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and has over 25 years of consulting experience in stormwater and water resources.

Nadine Spertus is a Sr. Principal Environmental Engineer for Solar Turbines and is responsible for working to assure that all Solar's facilities throughout the US meet environmental regulations. Nadine is a  California licensed Mechanical Engineer and has a Masters in Public Health with an environmental concentration from San Diego State. 

Laurie Walsh is a California licensed Civil Engineer responsible for program management of the Storm Water Unit at the San Diego Regional Water Quality Control Board.  Ms. Walsh graduated from California State Polytechnic University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
