Walk-ins with no reservation will be asked to wait until those with reservations are seated.\n          \nAbstract:\nMr. Kard will discuss the region's progress toward cleaner air and its attainment status\, greenhouse gases and the local impacts of state and federal laws\, rules on the near horizon\, and compliance assistance activities.           \nSpeaker Information:\nRobert Kard currently serves as director of the San Diego Air Pollution Control District.  With more than 29 years of experience at four different air districts\, Mr. Kard strives to increase air quality awareness through positive interaction with businesses\, residents and partnering agencies. Prior to his San Diego appointment\, Mr. Kard served as director of the Maricopa County Air Quality Department in Arizona and director of compliance for 12 years with the San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District. Mr. Kard holds a Bachelors degree from San Diego State University and a California Teaching Credential in Physical and Biological Sciences.  He’s also completed work in Hazardous Materials Management at U.C.
