Walk-ins with no reservation will be asked to wait until those with reservations are seated.\n \nAbstract:\n John Scandura will cover the following topics: Brownfields Cleanup Tools\, new DTSC guidance documents\, green chemistry\, green remediation\, Tier II CUPA Programs\, and site highlights.\n \nSpeaker Information:\n John Scandura is a branch manager for the Deparment of Toxic Substances Control's Brownfields and Environmental Restoration Program. Based in the Cypress regional office\, the branch oversees the cleanup of hazardous waste facilities\, active and former military bases\, federal and state Superfund sites\, and brownfields properties. John has over 25 years of site remediation experience for the State of California. Prior to joining the state he spent four years in the environmental consulting business performing environmental investigations and Superfund emergency responses.\n John has a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California\, Irvine and a master's degree in Environmental Science and Engineering from the University of North Carolina\, Chapel Hill. John is active in his church\, Boy Scouts\, and his community and served over seven years as a planning commissioner for the Cirty of Huntington Beach.
